Six More Miles

NO COVER

Six More Miles is a high-energy bluegrass collective rooted in tradition yet with an eye on the future. Drawing from the timeless sounds of pioneers like The Stanley Brothers, Doc Watson, and Tony Rice, the band fuses classic bluegrass with the free-spirited vibe of '70s progressive bluegrass, classic country, contemporary roots music and acoustic blues.

Their sound is anchored by three lead singers whose harmonies blend effortlessly around a single microphone, while virtuosic picking brings the heat on every song. With influences ranging from the driving rhythms of JD Crowe and the New South and Hot Rize, the soulful melodies of Hank Williams and Lefty Frizzell and the trailblazing instrumentation of Don Reno, Norman Blake, and Clarence White, the band's performances are both fresh and deeply reverent to the tradition.

A group with a pedigree to match, the members of Six More Miles have recorded and performed with some of the best in the business, including Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange), Jim Lauderdale, Alice Gerrard, The Chatham Rabbits, Southern Culture on the Skids, and The Squirrel Nut Zippers, among others. They've shared stages with legends like George Jones, Ralph Stanley, The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Justin Townes Earle, and The Hope Valley Ramblers, bringing their tight harmonies and hot picking to venues across the country.

Known for their versatility, Six More Miles seamlessly moves between hard-driving traditional bluegrass and more progressive, genre-bending territory. Their live shows are a testament to the power of roots music to evolve while staying true to its heart and soul.

Whether it's an intimate acoustic set or a rowdy festival stage, Six More Miles delivers a performance that feels both timeless and exhilarating.
