We lay down old-school danceable Rock, Soul and R&B along with deep grooves of Classic Rock Favorites.
Dave Dumers (guitar/vocals) and John Barker (keyboards/guitar/vocals) are founding members of Electric Carnival, who began playing in the Triangle area circa 1999. Dave also played with Grooveyared, Hat Trick and Bottom Line, to name a few. John played with The Groovynators for nearly 10 years until 2022.
Bob Steele (lead vocals/blues harp) began singing rock in the 1970s. Bob's major influences were Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger and other crooners of the era. A student at Old Dominion University, he toured the college circuit in Virginia and was in the alternative music scene in Norfolk VA during the 80s. After stepping away from music to devote his time to family and career, he has returned to the music scene with a renewed vigor.
Chris Adair (Bass/vocals) picked up his first bass at age 13 and hasn't put it down since. With a Master's in Double Bass, Chris is a classically trained musician who became a fixture in the Nashville club scene during his 30 years living there. His musical identity was shaped by 3 older brothers along with influences from McCartney, Entwistle, Clarke, John Deacon and Jaco Pastorious.
Jeff Newbrough (drums) has a long history playing throughout the northeast and south for many years. Primary influences are Richie Hayward, Bernard Purdie, Brevan Hampden, John Bohnam, Max Weinberg and Steve Gadd. Little Feat is his favorite but loves other classic rock and R&B artists from the 60s through present.
