The Blue Note Grill is one of the Triangle’s (Raleigh, Durham & Chapel Hill) premier live-music venues, complete with a full-service BBQ and Ribs restaurant and bar. The original Blue Note Grill opened in a non-descript strip mall in 2010 on the outskirts of Durham. Their musical reputation and Southern-style menu soon packed the house, as they quickly outgrew the tiny end space. In June of 2015, the Blue Note Grill opened and expanded in to a new 6,000 sq ft space in the downtown Durham historic Central Park District.
- Family-owned and operated, the Blue Note Grill has consistently been voted by readers of the INDY
- Place to Hear Blues: Winner (2011-2020)
- Place to Hear Bluegrass: Finalist (2011-2020)
- Place to Hear Rock & Roll: Finalist (2018)
- Open Mic: Winner (2020), Finalist (2018)
- Barbecue in Durham County: Finalist (2018)
- Wings in Durham County: Finalist (2018, 2019, 2020)
