August 9, 2015  ·  4-6pm/NO Cover

It is our distinct pleasure to announce one of the premier musical events of the summer of 2015. Please make plans to join The Last Roundup at the fabulous new Blue Note Grill on Sunday afternoon, August 9th from 4 until 6. There will be no cover charge, but tips are encouraged to help defray travel expenses.

The band consists of members of The Tornado Blues Band, Out ‘n the Cold, Without Further Ado and featuring members of Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, Dierks Bentley, Don Williams, Ricky Skaggs, Box Car Willie and other touring bands. These musicians have come together to lend their considerable talents in support of a reunion tour featuring one of the better known NC country rock groups from the 1970s. The identity of the band will be announced in the near future and the tour will take place in September of this year.

Personnel are as follows:
George Byrd – lead vocals, tambourine, washboard
Clarence “Moon“ Munden – lead and backup vocals, bass
Lynn Parker – lead and backup vocals, guitar
Tommy Hartley – lead and backup vocals, guitar, keyboards
Grier “C Boy” Crawford – drums and percussion
Martin Parker – drums and percussion
Robert “Muskrat” Reames – pedal steel guitar
Charlie Austin – fiddle

Expect a program of classic rock tunes from artists such as Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, The Byrds, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Eagles, Bob Segar, Jackson Browne and more. These will be interspersed with original compositions from the aforementioned NC original touring band. The performance will showcase the extensive lead and harmony vocals the band was known for.

All lovers of Classic Rock and Country Rock are invited to experience a blast from the past with this event. Sing along, dance and generally relive the heady times of the late ‘70s with the music we all love and cherish. We will never see such times again, so join us for a pre-reunion tour show and bask in the afterglow of the Woodstock Generation. A fine time will be had by all in attendance.
