Individually Twisted: 8/14/21

August 14, 2021  ·  Saturday * 7:30pm * $8 at the Door

Based out of Durham, NC, this local family band adds their own flavor to many rock classics and likes to shake things up with several country and blues songs as well. Alan and Kimmie Wilson have enjoyed performing together since the beginning of the 80’s.

Sitting in will be Lauren Myers (for Jonathan on drums), and Anthony (Ant) Boykin (for Ben Palmer).

Several bands preceded Individually Twisted including Seph & the Sifters and Bobby Z & the Impalas. Daughter Jordan Garnett brings powerful vocals to the mix. Son Jonathan Wilson is quite the gentle “Animal” on drums. Many know Jonathan from his past band, Untold; he currently plays with Urban Soil and City Dirt Trio; and has sat in with, to name a few, Rebecca Newton and Willie Painter at many of their shows. Robert Turner, our fabulous piano man, has played with many acts in and around these parts. Finally, when he’s not teaching music or DJing on WHUP, Ben Palmer offers up his bass-playing pizzazz. Ben plays with so many acts, it’s nearly impossible to keep up with him! Alternate musicians include drummer Lauren Myers from Winston-Salem. She has played with IT many times and loves to jam! Bassist Ant Boykin, from Pittsboro, brings his style and smile to the stage every single time he rocks with us.

NOTE:  We do not take reservations, all seating is first come first served. We recommend arriving 1 hour before show time with your party to avoid a wait. Due to staffing issues waits and food times may be longer than usual.

Thank you for your patience.
