Double Header: Logie Meachum Blues Band/Sam Frazier Band
October 1, 2016 · Saturday * 8pm * $8
Logie Meachum Blues Band: 8-9:30/Sam Frazier Band: 9:45-11:30.
Bluesman Logie Meachum can tell a story! In words, in song.; just give him a platform and/or a mic.
“Lorenzo “Logie” Meachum, in his brimmed hat, sharp vest, and shiny leather shoes, is a force to be reckoned with. He knows his way around a guitar better than most trained musicians, and has been a part of North Carolina’s blues community for most of his life. Born and raised in Greensboro, he holds a deep, personal connection to the culture of our state; it’s not just about the music, but also the people who play it and the stories they tell.
Logie is one of those storytellers, a natural public speaker, who can captivate a room of five people or a room of 1,000.” – Rosalie Catanoso, Our State Magazine (3/24/16)

The Sam Frazier Band is a trio comprised of Sam, Andy Ware or Chris Micca on bass, and Eddie Walker of Cliff Greeson on drums. They play material from the aforementioned CD’s along with funky/bluesy interpretations of other people’s music. Some folks like to listen and some folks like to dance.
