The Jimmy Weaver Trio has experience in many different genres of music. The night will be filled with extraordinary musicianship, and vocals that will turn your head. We look forward to a great night!!!

Jimmy Weaver
Jimmy started at twelve years old playing in a band with Jordan High School friends. They were seen in battle of the bands in and around the triangle area including Kenan Stadium at UNC, at frat parties and Sock Hops. Those bands evolved into Bro’ T Holla which had regional success in the 70’s.

He has played with many bands most recently The Embers, Steve Owens and Summertime, Slowhand, The Blazers, Bo Diddley, Bob Cox Trio (of Peter Douchin band), Too Much Fun, The Castaways, The West Street Band and opened for Tim Kreckle Band (of Jimmy Buffet), George Thoroughgood, Earl Scruggs, Nantucket. Jimmy has filled in or sat in with Jim Quick and Coastline, Craig Woolard Band and Bo Shronce and The Fantastic Shakers.

His accomplishments on keys allows him to play solo, duet or trio work and his vocal style has been compared to Huey Lewis, Michael McDonald and Delbert McClinton.

Robin Woodard
At age 14 Robin began playing professionally in the bar scene, playing in country cover bands. By the age of 18 Robin was playing all over the state, and won several guitar contests. Robin plays various styles and genres. Bluegrass, Jazz, Delta Blues, Rockabilly, Rock, Metal, and Country. “I’ve always played what I was asked, but I always put my “THING” in it. Robin has also worked with Grammy nominated producer John Custer who produced several songs Robin wrote for the rock band he formed in 1998 called “Gyromatics”. “I never liked the name of that band, but it isn’t everyday you get to work with someone like John Custer, he’s the best… salt of the earth, really”.

Whitt Helton
Whitt began playing drums at the age of twelve and has never stopped. He has held the drum position for Jam Pain Society, Staircase Band, The Slackmates, Sound Express and The EG Peters Band.

Whitt has also had the opportunity to open for national artist such as The Temptations, Percy Sledge, Taylor Dayne, Grayson Hughe and Delbert McClinton.

His diverse drumming allows him to play many different styles of music from jazz, rock, top 40, country and rhythm & blues.
